Former eUnited IGL Showtime joins Rise
Just a few days ago, Rise strengthened their VALORANT roster with the additions of Kevin "POISED" Ngo and Jason "neptune" Tran. The organization are seemingly not stopping there, as they announce the arrival of one more player, the former eUnited IGL, Antonio "Showtime" Angotti, is joining the team.
The American player was dropped off eUnited’s roster on January 26th, 2021. He has won the Allied Esports Strafe Series #2 since the start of his VALORANT career, with a 2nd place finish in the Mount Phenom Zero and 3rd in both the Pittsburgh Knights Boomer Bowl and the Nerd Street Gamers - Monthly November. Showtime averages an impressive 225 ACS as of the time of writing, accompanied by a 57% Entry Success Rate and 134.5 ADR. He brings to the roster his expertise in playing Jett, Raze, and Sova, diversifying Rise’s roster agent pool.
Showtime comes from a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive background, having represented the likes of Gosu, Shazam, NAF-FLY, and DaZeD, throughout three tournaments. These are namely the RGN Winter Classic II, the QuickShot Arena NA #1, and the Ascendancy Cup #1. Not only that, he competed in the first season of Invite with SPK.
Rise ended the VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - North America - Challengers 1 - Open Qualifier in 17th-32nd, and will definitely want to improve their results going forward in the upcoming qualifiers.
