Fnatic have suspended Andrew "braveaf" Gorchakov from their VALORANT roster, the organization said in a statement earlier today.

A series of private conversations involving the Russian player had been revealed on Twitter, in which he was seen making controversial statements pertaining to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. As a result, Fnatic said they have launched an internal investigation for the duration of which braveaf will remain suspended from the team.

braveaf defended himself on his personal Twitter account claiming that the screenshots of the conversation were between him and a Ukrainian woman from the 24th of February, and those were his first impressions on the conflict situation.

The news comes less than two weeks before the start of VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík, which begins on April 10th. It is yet to be seen if the organization will continue with braveaf on the lineup or if they will opt for a stand-in at the event.
