floppy and Xeppaa switch to VALORANT, joining Cloud9 Blue
Cloud9 have announced the signings of Ricky "floppy" Kemery and Erick "Xeppaa" Bach to their Cloud9 roster.
Both players are younger talents who have come up over the last several years and made waves in the North American Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene. floppy played with rosters of Vision Gaming and Vireo.pro before being signed to Team Singularity, and eventually Cloud9, while Xeppaa got his break with Chaos Esports Club just last year, before, like floppy, joining Cloud9. Both players have been singled out for some time as promising talents in the game, but with the dissolution of the Cloud9 “Colossus” roster, both have decided to stay in North America and represent their organization in another game.
With both players signed, Cloud9 now have a 6-man roster. Rumours have suggested that Xeppaa will be the odd man out for now, but we’ll have to wait and see what direction they decide to take it in.
Cloud9 have been earning good results lately, placing 5th-6th in VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - North America - Challengers 1. They’ll be participating in VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - North America - Challengers 2 this week, where floppy and Xeppaa will both presumably be debuting. A top four finish in the event would get them to VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - North America - Challengers Finals, and the top two from there head to VALORANT’s first international LAN, Masters in Reykjavik, Iceland.
Cloud9’s Blue roster is now:
Mitch “mitch” Semago Nathan “leaf” Orf Son “xeta” Seon-ho Michael “poiz” Possis Ricky “floppy” Kemery Erick “Xeppaa” Bach
