Fearoth to stand in for Fnatic at Masters Reykjavik
Fnatic have announced that Enzo "Enzo" Mestari will be standing in at VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík following the suspension of Andrew "braveaf" Gorchakov.
braveaf was suspended from the team yesterday after he was seen making controversial statements regarding the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, a story which you can read more about here. Fnatic added today that independent of the suspension, the Russian would be unable to attend Masters, which is set to start soon on April 10th, due to international travel and visa issues.
As a result, the organization brought Fearoth on loan from Alliance to stand in for the duration of Masters. The Frenchman fits perfectly in the Sova hole left by braveaf, having played almost 250 official matches with the agent so far. Fearoth has been leading Alliance at VRL - Northern Europe: Polaris - Stage 1 - Main Event recently, where the team finished fourth and missed out on a spot at VCT Promotion.
Missing out on an important piece in braveaf will certainly be a blow to the European team and it will be interesting to see whether they can keep up their good form at Iceland.
Fnatic are now:
Jake "Boaster" Howlett James "Mistic" Orfila Martin "MAGNUM" Penkov Nikita "Derke" SirmitevEnzo "Enzo" Mestari (stand in)
Tom "otom" Hart (substitute) Andrew "braveaf" Gorchakov (suspended)
Colin "CoJo" Johnson (manager) Jacob "mini" Harris (coach) Marcus "marcus_askildsen" Askildsen (performance coach)
