EXO Clan drop their VALORANT roster

Oceanic VALORANT is one of the most entertaining scenes to watch outside of the top regions. In a weird turn of events, EXO Clan decided to drop their VALORANT roster in preparation for the new year, even after being crowned champions of the First Strike Oceania Regional Final.

The news comes only a few weeks after their impressive run to become the First Strike Oceania Regional champions. Not only that, prior to this competition, the EXO Clan roster had participated and won several events leading up to their victory. This includes the Rise of Valour - Play-in, the Rise of Valour - Finals, the LPL 2020 Spring Cup - Challenger, and staying undefeated throughout the First Strike Oceania - Rise of Valour. In addition to 2nd place finishes in both the ORDER Oceanic Open and the The MEX Invitational.

EXO Clan’s most common team composition consisted of Jett, Sova, Omen, Cypher, and Breach. When they decided to spice things up, we saw the likes of Raze, Reyna, and even Viper pop up depending on the situation. Overall, the roster enjoyed a 90% winrate, winning 26 and losing only 3 games during their time representing the organization.

All of EXO Clan’s former roster - Chris "pl1xx" Li, Kyran "dizzyLife" Crombie, Ethan "Crunchy" Laker, Bob "Bob" Tran, and Iyengaran "iyen" Raju, are now free agents. It is worth mentioning that Riot Games have no plans to run their upcoming Challengers events as part of the VALORANT Champions Tour in the OCE region, instead they are being merged with North America. It is very likely this could have prompted the release with the players looking for opportunities abroad.

Who do you think will pick up the First Strike Oceania Regional champions now that they are free? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
