Evil Geniuses have announced the departures of Brendan "BcJ" Jensen, Vince "Apotheon" Le, Jeffrey "Reformed" Lu, Jacob "icy" Lange, and the coach Addison "zecK" Gorzeck in a video. The organization built a wide roster and came up with the best lineup to win the VALORANT Champions 2023 trophy this year. As the season came to an end, the rest of the squad, who remained mostly as subs this year, are out and looking for new offers to continue their VALORANT careers.

Evil Geniuses started the season with a 10-man roster

After being accepted to VCT 2023 Americas League, Evil Geniuses formed one of the widest rosters in the world and signed both experienced and rookie players to make the lineup possible. After several roster changes, the organization finally stopped the descending graphic and started winning games. With star player Demon1’s lead, EG finished the Americas League at third place and qualified for Masters. The North American team reached the grand final of VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo and improved its success in Los Angeles by winning the Champions 2023 trophy. Now that the season has ended for every team, EG parted ways with some of its subs.

Apotheon, Bcj, Reformed, icy, and zecK have left the team and they will now look for a new home to compete in the 2024 season. Last year Bcj had great success with XSET, and he is the most experienced player in the lineup. Bcj also has the highest rating, with 1.06 out of all the names that left EG today.
