eUnited move Joseph and Turnup to reserve roster
The North American VALORANT scene is filled with tremendously talented teams, but their results don’t necessarily reflect that. One of the teams perfectly representing this “what if” scenario is eUnited. Following a number of disappointing tournament placements, the organization took the decision to move Joseph "Joseph" Rivera and Joseph "Turnup" Sicre to the reserve roster.
It is understandable considering eUnited wasn’t capable of making it out of the VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - North America - Challengers 1 - Open Qualifier and the VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - North America - Challengers 2 - Open Qualifier, finishing 17th-32nd and 33rd-64th, which doesn’t reflect any progress or improvement in performance. Not only that, outside of these two competitions, the team finished 9th-16th in the Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet 2021 - April: Easter Cup and 5th-8th in the Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet 2021 - March: POT OF GOLD.
Both players showed up when their team needed them the most, with Turnup and Joseph averaging 179 and 181 ACS respectively throughout their career. The latter has enjoyed a 47% ESR, with a 0.88 Rating and 0.92 KD. While Turnup has a slightly higher ESR at 55%, accompanied by a 0.86 Rating and 0.93 KD.
The announcement didn't stop there, as the organization added one more talent to its coaching staff in Bryon “Frantic” Cobb, putting their faith in his talents and strategies to pull through in preparation for the upcoming tournaments.
eUnited’s roster is now:
Tanner “scourge” Kages Jason “jmoh” Mohandessi Lucas “fiziq” Blow
Joseph "Joseph" Rivera (Benched) Joseph "Turnup" Sicre (Benched)
Kyle "ToKacey" Stevens (Analyst) Bryon “Frantic” Cobb (Coach)
