Envy pick up former T1 member food
Edited on September 13th, 2020 at 1:00 AM CEST
Earlier this month, T1 announced the release of both Austin "crashies" Roberts and Victor "Victor" Wong. However, it didn’t take long for the latter to get picked up. Envy has decided to reveal the addition of Victor “food” Wong to their VALORANT roster.
There is no denying the player’s ability to perform tremendously on his day, but T1’s roster has been relatively underwhelming prior to his release. Victor “food” Wong has averaged a solid 231 ACS, a 1.13 KD, and 0.79 KPR throughout the events he participated in for T1 and the showmatch tournament, Twitch Rivals: VALORANT Launch Showdown - NA, under Team Brax.
He was crowned as VALORANT’s first ever Radiant player in the world, known for his Phoenix, Breach, and devastating Raze plays. Victor "Victor" Wong highlights include a 2nd place finish in the T1 x NSG Showdown, followed by a 5th-8th finish in the PAX Arena VALORANT Invitational.
His most recent result with T1 before his departure was exiting the Pop Flash VALORANT Invitational from the first round of Group B’s bracket after consecutive losses to Immortals and funnily enough, his current team, Envy.
The recently revealed reports from Ryan "RyanAtRBM" Friend, Owner of Rush B Media, stated the possibility of seeing Austin "crashies" Roberts join his former teammate, eventually replacing both Adam "aKis" Kisseberth and Abdo "c4Lypso" Agha.
Whether Envy is going to run a six-man VALORANT roster or releasing one of their players in the sound of the recent wave of rumors related to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players entering the VALORANT scene is yet to be determined as the official investigation run by Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) is still ongoing.
We have reached out to Envy for a comment on the situation, and will keep our readers updated.
On September 12, 2020, after 11 PM CDT, Envy officially announced the departure of both c4Lypso and aKis from the main lineup. The players were moved to the reserve roster.
The current Envy VALORANT roster is:
Adam "aKis" Kisseberth Abdo "c4Lypso" Agha Pujan "FNS" Mehta Anthony "mummAy" DiPaolo Jake "kaboose" McDonald Victor “food” Wong
