Dignitas add ryann and rara
After trialing the players for all the VALORANT Champions Tour events North America has seen so far, Dignitas have officially announced the signing of Ryan "ryann" Welsh and Noah "rara" Giesbrecht.
Each comes from a background in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but ryann was the more successful of the two, spending time with organizations such as Singularity, Envy, and Triumph. In VALORANT, it’s rara who has more history - he was originally part of T1 Academy, then took some time off before returning with Rise.
Throughout their VCT time, Dignitas haven’t managed to secure a top 8 spot or anything like that, however, they have been a significant improvement on Dignitas’ last roster. rara in particular has been a standout, posting massive stats as the team’s primary duelist. In the one broadcasted match we were able to see, when they played TSM in the VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - North America - Challengers 2 - Open Qualifier, they kept things close against the First Strike finalists.
Community consensus seems to be that this is probably the best roster Dignitas has fielded yet. Now that they’re officially signed and have more time as a team under their belt, they can focus on improving as much as possible to try and make a dark horse run in the near future. Due in part to Harrison "psalm" Chang going through surgery, Dignitas will not be participating in the third event of stage 1 of the VCT, but they’ll be back after Masters for stage 2.
Dignitas are now:
Rory “dephh” Jackson Harrison “psalm” Chang Bryan “mAKKALOFF” Drouillard Noah “rara” Giesbrecht Ryan “ryann” Welsh
Phat “supamen” Le (Benched)
