crashies joins T1 as the third memeber of the roster
Everyone in the VALORANT community is waiting for the announcements from all of the big esports organizations that have started to seek new players or are slowly revealing the members of the already established squad. One such organization is T1, who already has signed two North American players that were previously well known for their achievements in CS:GO - brax and AZK. Today we’ve got to know the third member of this powerful team.
Despite the fact that T1 is pretty active with its squad in a variety of showdowns and community tournaments, the third member was never seen before to compete alongside the other two previously mentioned individuals. The organization has decided to sign another former CS:GO player, Austin “crashies” Roberts.
crashies has played in several North American teams and participated in multiple online and offline events. Most recently he was representing Riot Squad after the organization picked up an entire roster of Bad News Bears in June 2019. The American company parted ways with the team at the beginning of 2020 as crashies and his former teammates were bought out by a Chinese organization, FunPlus Phoenix, and participated in the newly established Flashpoint League operated by FACEIT.
Roberts, similar to many other players from various FPS titles, has decided to step down from his current competitive scene in order to fully focus on VALORANT. The decision might be a surprise, as crashies has never mentioned before on his social media that he is retiring from the CS:GO scene. However, we could see him competing in tournaments such as 100T Invitational, T1 Invitational, and Code Green with content creators and players from games like Apex Legends and Overwatch.
The 22 years old American still has a lot to show as his previous achievements in CS:GO, even if not tremendous, were still pretty noticeable and gave a lot of hopes for the future. Since crashies is focused on VALORANT right now, we can expect that he will show us even more under T1 wings.
The Korean based organization has still to reveal two more members that will eventually join the team. Seeing how all of the announced members have CS:GO background, we might expect the other players that will be signed to have experience from one of the biggest esports titles in the world.
