Cloud9 Blue Mitch leaks leaf joining roster during stream
Following Josh "shinobi" Abastado exit from the Cloud9 roster, it leaves the room open for one player to join them and bring new motivation to the team. Even before Shinobi was officially revealed to have left the roster, Mitch "mitch" Semago accidentally showed Cloud9 Blue’s team Discord on stream, with Nathan “leaf” Orf showing up under the Players role.
There were links between the organization and leaf that dates back to May, prior to even their roster’s formation. Considering the vacant spot currently present in Cloud9’s team, it makes sense for the rumors to spark again. The General Manager for Cloud9 VALORANT, William Alfonsi, commented on the incident on Twitter, making fun of mitch for forgetting to turn on streamer mode on Discord.
For those of you who don’t know, leaf is considered a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive prodigy, with his latest team Chaos Esports Club. Since his professional debut two years ago at the Gfinity Spring Series 2018 North America, he went on to win the Funspark ULTI 2020 North America, Intel Extreme Masters XV Beijing Online: North America, and the DreamHack Masters Winter 2020: North America, in addition to 3rd-4th finishes in both the ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online North America and DreamHack Open Summer 2020: North America. Currently he is averaging 0.74 KPR and a 71.7% KAST, which indicates how likely he is to contribute a kill, assist, survive, or trade the takedown.
leaf certainly would be a welcomed addition to the Cloud9 Blue roster, and another big name switching over from CS:GO to VALORANT to follow the footsteps of many who did so already.
