BBL Esports part ways with head coach Vlad
BBL Esports have announced that they have parted ways with head coach Berke "Vlad" Kantürk. The organization made an unwanted start to the season, and the news came right before week four of the ongoing VCT EMEA League. Vlad’s assistant, Arda “Epic” Yıldız, will take his responsibilities in the remaining weeks of the season. Additionally, BBL also announced that Hüseyin “aimDLL” Kabişteke has landed in Berlin to be the sixth man on the roster.
BBL Esports are one of the two Turkish representatives at VCT 2023 - EMEA League. Despite forming one of the strongest Turkish rosters on paper, the organization failed to meet expectations after losing four games in a row, being the only team in the EMEA League to not get a dub under their belt.
As a result, the Turkish team made its first change of the roster and parted ways with Vlad. Vlad has worked for the team in the past before leaving to join Russ at Spain’s Giants. He joined BBL at the beginning of VCT 2022 - Turkey - Stage 1 - Closed Qualifier 1 and worked for the team before leaving for Giants. BBL recruited him once again after getting a partnership slot, and now it is time bid farewell for the second time.
Epic and aimDLL to the rescue
Epic will fill Vlad’s shoes in the remaining weeks. He worked for Fenerbahçe Esports and Parla Esports before signing a deal with BBL. This is his first experience abroad, and Epic helped Vlad as an assistant coach until now. It is time to put the responsibilities on his shoulders.
BBl have also announced that aimDLL has made it to Berlin to complete the roster as sixth. He and BBL had ups and downs throughout the off-season, and now he is back to support his team and sub-in if needed.
