BabyJ exits FaZe Clan
The former Halo pro spent a majority of his VALORANT career on unsigned teams before finding his big break with FaZe in June earlier this year. BabyJ’s arrival looked highly promising, adding a prolific sentinel to a roster brimming with firepower but lacking a final piece.
The squad had to wait patiently for results, disappointing first at VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - North America - Challengers 1 - Open Qualifier but turning their fortune around in the subsequent VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - North America - Challengers 2 - Open Qualifier and VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - North America - Challengers 2. That would be the most BabyJ achieved with FaZe, as their inability to hang with the big North American teams at VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - North America - Challengers Playoffs and missing out on VCT 2021 - VALORANT Champions 2021 at the latest VCT 2021 - North America Last Chance Qualifier put the final nail in the coffin for the lineup.
Despite his removal, BabyJ remains a top-tier sentinel player in the North American scene. His 202 ACS and 0.96 rating while playing Cypher and Killjoy are hugely impressive and he is certain to be picked up before the new season next year.
FaZe Clan have not yet announced who their fifth player will be as the organization will probably wait until after Champions to assess their options.
FaZe Clan are now:
Corey “corey” Nigra Zachary “ZachaREE” Lombardo Andrej “babybay” Francisty Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty
