With the new tournament model, it was expected that this year’s roster mania was going to be on another level. We have seen top players leaving their organizations to join different teams but the latest news hit differently. An era has come to an end, especially for the EMEA scene as Team Liquid announced that Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom has left the organization.

ScreaM is one of the most famous FPS players of all time, mainly thanks to his Counter-Strike days. The “One Tap God” had many impressive performances throughout his career, before switching to VALORANT, and the day he announced his retirement from CS, it was obvious that he was going to continue smashing his opponents. He first played for a couple of amateur organizations before getting picked up by Team Liquid. ScreaM won his first A-tier tournament at VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals. Team Liquid then finished VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavik in fourth place. The hustle continued for the Belgian player in the 2021 season as he helped his team win the EMEA LCQ to compete at the first-ever VALORANT World Championship. Team Liquid reached the semi-final stage before losing to Acend.

The start of the 2022 season wasn’t optimal for ScreaM but he still managed to attend the first Master tournament of the year. Despite losing to ZETA DIVISION at a fairly early stage of the tournament, ScreaM’s individual performance was one of the best until that point. He held a 1.27 rating in 11 maps, the highest of the tournament. Once again, the Belgian player didn’t miss the World Championship again by winning the EMEA LCQ. This time, he wasn’t as dominant as he was last year, finishing the tournament with a 1.01 rating in 7th-8th place.

ScreaM currently holds a 1.26 rating and a 1.32 K/D. His headshot rate is 32.5% since the beginning of his career, 260 maps. There are rumors flying around that he will join Karmine Corp for the upcoming season, alongside his brother Nivera but nothing is official yet. Throughout Team Liquid’s 2-year run in the VALORANT Scene, ScreaM had the most impact on the battlefield for sure. He surely had impressive performances and carried his team on his shoulders in many scenarios. Now, the era has come to an end as both parties will continue their ways separately and ScreaM first match against TL shouldn’t be missed for sure!

With ScreaM leaving the organization, Liquid’s current roster is as follows but this will change in the upcoming days or weeks:

United Kingdom Dom "soulcas" Sulcas Finland Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen Belgium Nabil "Nivera" Benrlitom Kazakhstan Dmitriy "dimasick" Matvienko

United Kingdom Eamon "cauzed" Drea (Manager) Sweden Emil "eMIL" Sandgren (Coach) United States Tanner "7Teen" Curtis (Performance Coach) United Kingdom Jake "Bacon9" Lloyd (Analyst)
