Alliance let go of krea6on despite qualifying for Stage 1 Masters
Even though the team was the first from Europe to qualify for VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - Europe Masters, Alliance have announced a roster change. Vilius "krea6on" Malinauskas has been let go from the organization. The possibility of the move was first floated earlier today by Arran "Halo" Spake.
krea6on was part of Alliance for under a month. He primarily played the smokes for the team, though also picking up Reyna for Icebox. Though he never put up big fragging numbers for the team, he was consistent, and their success speaks for itself, as they took down Wave Esports in Challengers 2 to reach Europe’s big stage.
“It may come as a surprise to read this to many of the Alliance fans after our early success with the VALORANT squad and qualifying for Masters but today we are making a change to the roster. We have decided to remove krea6on from the team, effective immediately. krea6on is an incredible individual player and helped us get to where we are but due to his lack of team experience we made the decision to bring a new player in so we can continue our growth and reach our goals. He will be a free agent and able to join another team whenever he decides. We can’t thank him enough for everything he has done for the team but in order for us to take the next steps and become one of the best teams in the world we decided it was necessary for us to make a change to build the right team. Once we are ready to announce our new player, you can expect an update. We all wish krea6on the best of luck going forward, he is a young star for the future for sure,” James “BanKs” Banks, the General Manager of Alliance VALORANT, commented in the official announcement.
It is not known who might end up as krea6on’s replacement. Adam "ec1s" Eccles has been tipped by the wider community as a possibility.
Alliance is now:
Enzo “Fearoth” Mestari Tautvydas “hype” Paldavicius Thomas “kAdavra” Johner Niels “luckeRRR” Jasiek
Mitch “MitchMan” McBride (Analyst)
