100 Thieves announce VCT 2022 roster with ec1s and BabyJ
In-game leader ec1s comes in after a disappointing year with Team Liquid and Ninjas in Pyjamas, who themselves have picked up a completely different roster. His teams failed to make it out of all but one Challengers Open Qualifiers, and the Brit will be looking for a fresh start and much better results with the powerhouse North American roster. 100 Thieves will find encouragement in the fact that ec1s has been in great personal form at the end of last year, with a 1.20 rating and 219 ACS over the last three months.
Alongside him is the addition of American rifler BabyJ, coming in after a short spell with FaZe Clan in the latter half of 2021. While he helped the team put up a decent performance at VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - North America - Challengers Playoffs, it wasn’t enough to take them to Masters, and a 7th-8th place finish at VCT 2021 - North America Last Chance Qualifier spelt the end of BabyJ’s time on FaZe Clan. He still remains a very good sentinel player, posting a 1.02 rating and 224 ACS in the past three months, and is also capable of playing Viper and Breach.
100 Thieves have the tough task on hand of bringing the best out of a group of players that are clearly capable of a lot more. If the team can get back to the form they showed during VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - Masters Berlin - Playoffs, then fans will have plenty to be optimistic about.
100 Thieves are now:
Spencer "Hiko" Martin Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk Ethan "Ethan" Arnold Adam "ec1s" Eccles Hunter "BabyJ" SchlineJovanni "Jovi" Vera (Head Coach)
