Warthox Esport announce VALORANT roster
VALORANT’s competitive scene is growing worldwide, with three more Ignition series tournaments announced just yesterday for the SEA, MENA, and LATAM regions. It is only a matter of time before we see an established VALORANT esports ecosystem in place for major competitions, and Warthox Esport want to be prepared for that moment. The organization revealed their VALORANT roster which will officially represent the team’s banner in competitions going forward.
Warthox Esport was founded in 2017, and has teams competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, PUBG, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Quake, and League of Legends. Most recently, the French organization’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team placed fourth in the ESL Championnat National Summer 2020, while their Apex Legends team got third place in the Apex Legends Global Series Major 1 - European Qualifier, having previously won the T1 Apex European League: Season 4 monthly tournament.
The team’s captain is Nicolas “LuckySpray” Ahodan, and alongside him are Bastien “Nicklas” Puccinelli, Alexis “neeKo” Rossini, Joakim “BADshark” Malburet, and Lucas “SH4WQ” Bourrez. Two of Warthox Esports’ VALORANT roster, namely neeKo and LuckySpray, played together throughout the past year on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. They met the rest of the team during Riot Games’ tactical shooter’s closed beta period, and their passion towards winning and dominating their opponents brought them together.
As for the other members, BADshark played for several teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive at FACEIT level 10, but doesn’t have any titles to his name. SH4WQ on the other hand was a Call of Duty: Black Ops II pro on Xbox, and managed to rank among the best in the world in the online league.
“First of all, the objectives of the team and those of the structure coincide. We chose to recruit this team because it embodies what we are looking for, young players with potential, a solid and already "built" team that we will be able to continue to mature within our organization. We all aim to position the team among the best French teams and to be able to play against the top of the European scene in the longer term,” commented for THESPIKE.GG Warthox Esport’s CEO Lucas “Guoss” Poher on the organization’s VALORANT roster announcement.
Current Warthox Esport roster consists of:
Nicolas “LuckySpray” Ahodan Bastien “Nicklas” Puccinelli Alexis “neeKo” Rossini Joakim “BADshark” Malburet Lucas “SH4WQ” Bourrez
