TSM announce their VALORANT roster
Team SoloMid got their initial start and fanbase in League of Legends, but have since expanded to become one of the largest esports organizations in the world. With teams already in LoL, PUBG, Fortnite, FGC, Apex Legends, and Rainbow Six: Siege, TSM is looking to be successful in another game as they’ve announced they are entering VALORANT.
As Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik told THESPIKE.GG, “To me, representing a prestigious org like TSM means the world to me because it feels like a dream come true. If you told me 5 years ago I would be in this position, I would never believe you. It's been a long time in the works, even talking to them a year ago about potentially sponsoring our CS:GO team, so I'm more than happy that it came to life in VALORANT!”
The TSM roster is made up of former Counter-Strike players Matthew “Wardell” Yu, James “hazed” Cobb, Stephen “reltuC” Cutler, Taylor “Drone” Johnson, and the aforementioned Subroza. All of them achieved some success in the CS:GO scene, being mostly notable for their longevity. Subroza and Wardell played together on Ghost Gaming, achieving mixed success on the smaller stage but failing to break out in a truly big way. Subroza is also familiar with reltuC and hazed as they played together on Counter Logic Gaming, achieving slightly more success throughout the years. Drone is notable for his time on Splyce and Team Envy.
Most recently, though, the five players entered VALORANT as a team, playing under the name MouseSpaz. They’ve become known as one of the best teams in North America, playing teams like Gen.G and Cloud9 very closely. They’ve been incredibly successful on the amateur scene as well, winning six tournaments out of the nine they’ve entered. These include tournaments hosted by large organizations such as the Pittsburgh Knights Charity Invitational and the Counter Logic Gaming Blitz Cup. They’re also undefeated in the Fragadelphia tournaments. Drone and Subroza typically lead the way in the KDA department, while Wardell has become known for his prowess on the Operator.
“Our goal as a team is obviously to be consistently at the number 1 spot, but the keyword is consistency. We really want to create an era and dominate for as long as we can. We've been working really hard towards that goal as a team lately and I can't wait to show it in the events to come,” Subroza said.
TSM will be looking to be successful in another esport with this VALORANT entry. With a roster that has already proven themselves against the best in North America, the odds certainly look in their favor.
TSM's roster consists of:
