Sentinels bench zombs and turn to Kanpeki for Open Qualifiers
After winning the VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - Masters Reykjavík trophy, Sentinels never really showed the same impact since then. Despite getting solid results in different international events, reaching the VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - Masters Berlin - Playoffs quarter finals as an example, Sentinels’ dominance got weaker as the tournaments passed. Lastly, the famous esports organization had one of their worst results during VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 1 - Main Event and they failed to represent their country on the international stage, VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík. However, the North American team continued their way with the same roster until today.
Jared "zombs" Gitlin has been one of the most criticized players on the Sentinels roster for the past couple of months. The North American player has been playing under the SEN roof since April 2020 and he was there when Sentinels won many trophies, international and regional. Unfortunately, zombs had one of the worst stats on the roster but keep in mind that he used to be the smoker on the team. He has held a 0.89 rating and 0.93 K/D since the beginning of his career, which equals 262 maps in total. The well-known smoker is one of the most experienced FPS players in the region.
On the other hand, Eric "Kanpeki" Xu has been playing for Akrew. He never had a chance to compete at the regional highest level but showed his potential in many different tournaments such as the Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlets and also different NSG tournaments. Even though he hasn’t picked the agent for a while now, Jett is Kanpeki’s most played agent with 174 appearances. He has been playing KAY/O, Chamber, Skye, and Sage, lately. Kanpeki has held a 1.20 rating in 357 maps since the beginning of his career.
