Marved joins FaZe Clan's VALORANT roster
FaZe Clan, after originally being announced for PAX Arena VALORANT Invitational and then dropping out, have taken the opportunity to continue building out their VALORANT roster. A few days ago, we saw Zachary "ZachaREEE" Lombardo join the team. Today, FaZe have announced their fourth player, Jimmy "Marved" Nguyen.
Marved has been in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s esports scene since 2015, failing to make any major waves besides filling in at events for eUnited, NRG Esports, and Misfits during 2016-17. He’s been playing up until 2020, subbing for blood, sweat, and tears during ESEA MDL Season 34 North America Premier Division.
In VALORANT, Marved has participated in a number of events. At the Twitch Rivals: VALORANT Launch Showdown - NA, he participated with Team Dizzy, together with his new teammate Corey "corey" Nigra. He’s played with Team Underrated at a number of events, helping qualify the team for Trovo Challenge - North America though not playing in the main event. But his biggest accomplishment came as a stand-in for FaZe at the T1 x NSG Showdown. FaZe finished in fourth place, and Marved was a massive part of the team’s success. He received a lot of praise for his performances on Brimstone and ability to flank and get multiple kills at a time.
Marved is certainly joining Corey and ZachaREE on FaZe, while rumours are swirling that Jason "jasonR" Ruchelski is unhappy with his situation and will not be part of the team’s final roster. With 3 players from their tremendous Ignition Series run now locked down, FaZe are looking great for the future.
FaZe Clan are now:
Corey "Corey" Nigra Jason "jasonR" Ruchelski Zachary "ZachaREEE" Lombardo Jimmy "Marved" Nguyen
