Infernal Void move Rainbow Six: Siege squad to VALORANT
Esports organizations keep exploring the possibilities that are waiting for them in the new Riot Games’ FPS title. As some of the companies have started the hunt for finding the perfect new players, others decide to change the game of the professional gamers that are already under their wings - and this is what German organization, Infernal Void decided to do.
The company is pretty young as it was created during the Autumn season of 2019. Despite being active for a relatively short period of time, the organization has managed to operate in two German cities, Dortmund and Munich, and have representations in games such as CS:GO, League of Legends and Rainbow Six: Siege that participate in domestic competitions.
“Our goal will be to compete with G2, Fnatic etc. at the same level. That would be amazing for us and the players,” tells us Enrico Bernock, CEO of Infernal Void.
With the VALORANT release, and a degrading state of the Rainbow Six: Siege esports scene, the organization has decided to switch the games of the existing roster that consists of five German players: Michael “mKpwnz” Knauer, Benjamin “Benjamin237” Aydin, Andreas “Andyerli” Christa, Lucas “Lucky” Wittich and Frederik “UnLucky” Glaser. What’s also interesting in this case, is the fact that they will continue to play the original game in the meantime until the organization finds a new main squad in Rainbow Six: Siege. It’s a move that was not present on the VALORANT scene yet and this situation might be a difficult challenge for the players to keep playing on the highest level of the competition in both of these games.
“There aren't many expectations from the VALORANT esport scene from our end; the game is just clearly already looking better than Rainbow Six and that's all. We have much fun while playing the game and that's what matters. The goal is to compete with the biggest and aim for the highest,” reveals the team captain Michael “mKpwnz” Knauer.
Being a relatively young team that didn’t have a chance to gain a lot of professional experience just yet and having to play both VALORANT and Rainbox Six: Siege will Infernal Void make it to a top tier level? We will have to wait and see their progress on upcoming tournaments, only time and hard work will tell us.
Infernal Void roster consists of:
