Arctic Gaming says farewell to their VALORANT squad
Following the recent series of organizations dropping their VALORANT rosters, namely EXO Clan, Estral Esports, and Team Empire, Arctic Gaming are following suit. The Spanish esports organization already boasts teams competing in multiple shooter titles, namely Rainbow Six: Siege, Fortnite, Overwatch, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. However, they are parting ways with their VALORANT roster following disappointing results in multiple tournaments.
Arctic Gaming revealed their squad back in mid-October. As with any European organization in the VALORANT competitive scene, they wanted to qualify and participate in the First Strike Europe Regional Final. Unfortunately, the team had disappointing results in all of the First Strike Europe: Open Qualifier A, the First Strike Europe: Open Qualifier B , the First Strike Europe: Open Qualifier C, and the First Strike Europe: Open Qualifier D.
In addition to that, they finished 5th-8th and 7th-8th in the LVP - Genesis Cup Viento and the LVP - Genesis Cup Sombras respectively. Their most recent results might tell a different story, as they managed to win the Valorant Fast! and come 2nd in the Legion Defiance Cup - Christmas Edition. Throughout the team’s tenure under Arctic Gaming, they won 10 matches and lost 13, ending their time with the organization at a 43% winrate.
All of Arctic Gaming’s former roster - Iván "Othax" Moreno Lázaro, Jesus "chechuu" Díaz, Manuel "ease" López, Gerard "heavnn" Tudela, and Salvador "Horcus" Matas, are now free agents.
